Page 5: "One particularly expansive example of direct access dental hygiene that requires enhanced training but no expansion in scope of services is Oregon’s Limited Access Permit Dental Hygienist (LAP).  The LAP, upon educational and experiential qualification and possession of professional liability insurance, is allowed to practice preventive services and placement of temporary restorations without supervision in designated sites.  Required are 40 hours of specified classroom instruction and...."
