Course Description:
Infection prevention is essential for the health and safety, patients and dental health professionals. In order to prevent the transmission action. Prevention. The CDC recommendations on infection control for the demo that should be followed on a daily basis includes procedures to beginning of the day, before, and after treating each patient, and at the end of the day.

  1. Review the elements of Standard Precautions recommended for effective infection prevention.
  2. Describe engineering and work controls that help prevent the transmission of bloodborne pathogens and other microorganisms.
  3. Implement effective infection prevention using a sequential and systematic approach that follows the CDC.

About the Presenter:

Monica Emmons is the Senior Region Specialist, Chairside solutions for DENTSPLY SIRONA. Monica attended Portland Community College, Eastern Washington University and Kings College London, UK. Monica’s focus is to provide professionals with current concepts, technology and evidence-based research to assist in implementing effective and efficient evidence-based treatment protocols for clinical practice. Monica has more than 35 years clinical experience in both periodontal and general practices and 20 years dental hygiene education. Monica was Clinical Educator for Dentsply Sirona for over 6 years and served as adjunct faculty at Portland Community College Dental Hygiene program.
