Oregon Board Of Dentistry Agrees To Hold Quarterly Meetings Of Dental Hygiene Committee

In 2011 House Bill 2384 was introduced at the request of the Oregon Dental Hygienists’ Association. The intent of this bill was to amend the Oregon Dental Practice Act to establish by statute a Dental Hygiene Committee within the Oregon Board of Dentistry that would have the authority to regulate dental hygiene practice. This bill did not pass, but the Oregon Board of Dentistry committed to the Oregon Legislature that they would hold quarterly meetings of their standing Dental Hygiene Committee and respectfully consider their recommendations.
